The psychodynamics of anger, including common reasons for its occurrence and how it is manifested in children, will be discussed. Specific play therapy techniques and CBT strategies for working with an angry child will be explored. The role of parents in coaching children to manage anger will also be included. This workshop is particularly important, given that a significant number of children are experiencing dysregulation due to COVID-19 restrictions and virtual education.

She has served as a U.S. Army Nurse and is a Board Certified- Advanced Psychiatric Registered Nurse.

The Office of Continuing Professional Education at the University Of Maryland School Of Social Work is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education programs. Course completion requirements: To earn CE credit, social workers must log in at the scheduled time, attend the entire course, and complete the online course evaluation located in your account.
