Sandra Crespin-Melgar (She/Her/Hers/Ella) is an Advanced MACRO and Clinical Social Work Student, specializing in Community Action and Social Policy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Social Work. As a Latinx woman, immigrant, and first-generation college student, Sandra is passionate about advocating on behalf of underrepresented populations. Sandra currently has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She now serves as the Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression Social Work Intern at the Intercultural Center at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. There, she assists in developing programs that focus on leading anti-oppression and anti-racism initiatives on campus. Upon graduating, Sandra
would like to contribute her knowledge and skills toward a career in Higher Education to cultivate diversity, inclusion, and community building across college campuses.
