John Comer


John P. Comer, MPA is CEO of The Architects of Justice. He has 18  years’ experience in community organizing and passing policies for family members of murder victims, death row exonorees, and low income communities across the nation.  John currently resides in Baltimore, MD where he has built neighborhood organizations by recruiting, empowering, and organizing residents of Baltimore’s public housing communities. Some of his most impactful work includes designing the grassroots strategy to restore voting rights to all ex-felons in Maryland, as well as creating the outreach model to bring justice to sexual harassment victims due to a sex for repair scandal which involved maintenance staff - This led to a $9 million settlement for more than 40 public housing residents.  He has also has led  efforts to develop a city-wide trauma strategy, while serving in an administrative role at the Baltimore City Health Department. Comer is continuing his work in Maryland by working with youth, who have experienced the juvenile justice system and advocating for new policies in Annapolis. www.thearchitectsofjustice.com
