Jennifer Mauer

Jennifer Mauer, LCSW-C: Jennifer Maurer received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Clinical, Health Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work.

Jennifer has spent almost 30 years in academic medical settings including Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland. She has worked in specialty programs for HIV, other Infectious Diseases, Renal Transplant and primary care. She is currently a Lead Social Worker in the Johns Hopkins Bayview Department of Social Work with a clinical assignment in the General Internal Medicine Clinic.

Jennifer has been a member of the Bayview Ethics Committee since 2019 and enjoys representing the social work perspective in challenging consults. She is also a clinical supervisor and mentor for colleagues. Jennifer enjoys the multi-disciplinary approach to academic settings and values the opportunity to participate in the education of young medical professionals while advocating for patients and families.
