Although Chris is certified in Strategic Intervention through the Robbin-Madanes Coach Training program, she credits NVC with being able to connect at the heart level. Chris has over 300 hours of training with NVC trainers including Robert Gonzales, Miki Kashtan, Sarah Peyton, Kristin Masters, Kit Miller, Mary Mackenzie, Barbra Esher and the parenting CD of Inbal Kashtan, which she has listened to over 100 times. Chris sees herself as contributing member of a like-minded community that isn’t afraid to feel and is actively looking for opportunities to connect deeply and compassionately with all people. Chris enjoys coaching individuals, couples, and families with their communication issues and facilitating small groups. Reflecting on the deficit of relational education schools, Chris was motivated to bring the principles and practices of NVC to a very young audience. In the children's book An Inside Story: A Children's Book for Grown-Ups Too!, Chris and Leland invite families to discover this simple practice of self-awareness and self-responsibility. Half of the profits from the sale of the book go to support Capital NVC's efforts to bring trainings to the area.
