Barbie Johnson-Lewis, LCSW-C, LLC, Lotus Healing Services

Barbie Johnson-Lewis is the owner of Lotus Healing Services, an integrative psychotherapy and training practice. She serves as the Board of Directors’ President of NASW-MD Chapter, and Co-Chair of Social Workers Unraveling Racism (SWUR), a NASW-MD Chapter committee. Barbie is also an Adjunct Field Liaison for UMD School of Social Work.  Barbie is a healer, and racial and social justice informed psychotherapist, community leader, activist and social worker, focused on the liberation of Black and Brown women and their families through building awareness and undoing the dynamics of racism. Barbie has over 25 years of experience and advanced training in psychotherapy, complex informed trauma, mindfulness/meditation, crisis intervention, program development, clinical supervision, community outreach and advocacy. She has a Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Barbie enjoys sci-fi novels, yoga, gardening and cooking, and lives in Columbia, MD with her family.
