Duration:
1 Hour

Dates

Description

Consumer scams are increasingly sophisticated and can cause significant financial, emotional, and psychological harm—particularly for vulnerable populations such as older adults, individuals with limited financial literacy, or clients experiencing stress or isolation. This interactive networking discussion will equip social workers with the knowledge and practical skills to recognize common scam tactics, identify warning signs in clients’ experiences, and provide effective support and resources to help clients protect themselves. Participants will also learn from the instructor and each other methods to build client awareness, foster resilience against manipulation, and connect clients with appropriate reporting and recovery resources.
