In their book, Dr. Darity Jr. and Kirsten Mullen explore the effects of racism and discrimination from the end of the Civil War to the present day to measure economic inequalities rooted in enslavement. Through their analysis, they lay out a detailed action plan for an effective reparations policy for descendants of U.S. enslavement.
