Description

This presentation will look at therapeutic strategies based on the characters from the movie Encanto. Encanto is a fun-loving and witty movie with catchy music that touched our hearts. However, the film’s story and characters are examples of intergenerational trauma and its rippling effects. In addition to examining the effects of trauma exhibited in the film, you will identify strategies that can be used in different counseling situations such as individual, family, and group sessions.

Prior to the workshop, you are encouraged to watch Disney's Encanto.
