The Social Justice Legacy of Oscar Romero:
Culturally Responsive Practice Through a Liberation Lens
This two-part in-person training series explores culturally responsive approaches to service and social work practice through the life and legacy of Saint Oscar Romero, a Salvadoran archbishop and advocate for justice during the Salvadoran civil war. Participants will examine the principles of liberation theology, solidarity, and cultural humility, and apply these concepts to working with diverse and underserved communities in both service and social work contexts.
