Affirming Care & Queer Mental Health: A Learning Series

Deepen your knowledge and enhance your clinical practice with this two-course bundle focused on LGBTQ+ mental health and gender-affirming care. In "LGBTQ+ Mental Health: Historic and Present-Day Challenges," participants will examine the evolving landscape of queer mental health through a historical lens and explore ongoing challenges faced by LGBTQ+ communities. In "Gender Affirming Care: A Clinician’s Role in Supporting Individuals & Families," the focus shifts to practical approaches clinicians can use to support individuals and families navigating gender identity and transition.

At the time of DC license renewal, all licensees are required to have completed the 40 hours of approved continuing education units including the 6 hours of Ethics, 2 hours of LGBTQ training,  and 4 of the total required continuing education shall be in  Public Health Priorities.

Please note: Workshops with a LGBTQ focus meet the LGBTQ requirement for DC; however, you cannot use the same workshop to satisfy both requirements.
